Growing Medical Device manufacturer located in Chantilly, VA has an immediate need for experienced Assemblers to work in a clean, modern and safe manufacturing environment. Hours are 7:30 a.m.to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is a full-time benefit eligible position.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience performing electro-mechanical assembly activities in a highly regulated (FDA, FAA) manufacturing environment and must be able to perform the following essential job functions:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
- Perform repetitive electromechanical assembly using hand and electric tools
- Must be able to read, write and follow written directions in an accurate manner.
- Must be able to communicate in English (verbal and written).
- Must have a working knowledge of MS EXCEL and Word.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reads and follows established assembly procedures
- Perform high quality assembly of medical devices, including installation of electronic components, controllers, RTD’s, Thermostats, batteries, wire harnesses and small transformers
- Execution of process operations according to Assembly Procedures, SOP’s, SMP’s and QP’s
- Adheres to safety guidelines and ESD guidelines
- Performs accurate recordkeeping
- Assists in development of assembly procedures
- Operates specialized testing and diagnostic equipment
- Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion following plant housekeeping guidelines and 5S methodology
- Works closely with Engineering and Quality on program development and implementation of changes to equipment to improve efficiency, product quality and reliability
- Adheres to ISO and FDA compliance and improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
- Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work
- Participates in pilot runs
- Reviews and evaluates documentation
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience performing assembly type operations in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with manufacturing processes including but not limited to: soldering (general, PCB, SMT), crimping, LEAN Mfg., 5S’s
- Must be able to speak, read and write English
- Detail oriented/quality conscious
The starting hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $22.00 depending on experience.
