We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Body Man/Painter to join our automotive repair team. Responsibilities
- Repairing and restoring vehicle body panels, including dent removal, sanding, and filling
- Preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking
- Applying primer, base coats, and clear coats with precision to achieve a professional finish
- Operating hand tools such as sanders, grinders, and paint sprayers safely and effectively
- Utilising power tools for bodywork repairs and surface preparation
- Performing heavy lifting of vehicle parts or panels as required during repairs or assembly
- Ensuring all work complies with safety standards and quality expectations
- Maintaining a clean and organised workspace to facilitate efficient workflow
Requirements
- Proven experience in vehicle body repair and painting is preferred but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle structures and repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in bodywork and painting tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Good attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
- Physical stamina to work on vehicles for extended periods in various positions
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently
