Sosta is the Italian word for "pause".
The idea came from a simple feeling: wanting more opportunities to step away from the pace of everyday life. To spend more time outdoors. To explore. To go somewhere new for a few days. To have experiences that feel restorative rather than rushed.
Too often, the things that make those experiences possible feel unnecessarily difficult to access, whether that's because they're expensive, impractical or simply not designed for how people live today.
We think there should be a better way.
We're building a model based on thoughtful shared access rather than individual ownership.
We're starting with beautifully designed campervans, shared between a small number of members and supported by a service that takes care of the insurance, maintenance, storage and logistics.
The business is still in its early stages, but it's real. We're currently preparing to launch our first pilot vehicle in summer 2026 and are looking for exceptional people to help us bring it to life.
The Role
We're looking for a Founding Community & Brand Lead to help shape how Sosta shows up in the world.
This is a deliberately broad role, reflecting the stage of the business. We're not looking for someone who is an expert in every area listed below, and we don't expect one person to do everything.
Depending on your strengths and interests, the role may lean more towards brand storytelling, content, community building, partnerships, events or member experience.
We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, bringing ideas to the table and helping turn them into reality. As an early-stage business, priorities will evolve, and we'd expect the role to evolve alongside them.
You'll work closely with our Founder and Creative Director, helping translate the broader vision for Sosta into content, community, partnerships and experiences.
Some weeks you might be developing content, partnerships or campaigns that help introduce people to Sosta. Other weeks you might be planning an event, speaking with potential partners, growing our community or helping shape the member experience.
The role will evolve as the business evolves.
What You Might Work On
Brand & Storytelling
- Help shape and develop Sosta's brand voice
- Lead our presence across social channels
- Create, commission and coordinate content
- Identify opportunities for storytelling, PR and brand awareness
- Help ensure everything we put into the world feels thoughtful, consistent and high quality
- Help bring the Sosta story to life across digital and physical touchpoints
Community & Member Experience
- Build and nurture an engaged community around Sosta
- Develop initiatives that encourage participation and advocacy
- Help shape the member experience beyond the trip itself
- Create opportunities for connection, conversation and belonging
- Gather feedback and insights that help improve the experience over time
Partnerships & Awareness
- Build relationships with aligned brands, creators and communities
- Support launches, events and brand activations
- Explore thoughtful ways to grow awareness of Sosta
- Identify opportunities for collaboration, storytelling and word-of-mouth growth
- Help establish Sosta within the wider travel, hospitality, design and outdoor landscape
What Success Might Look Like
In your first year, success might look like:
- Helping launch Sosta's first pilot vehicle
- Growing an engaged waitlist and community
- Creating content that people genuinely want to follow
- Developing partnerships with brands we admire
- Helping shape a member experience people talk about and recommend
- Establishing Sosta as a distinctive brand within travel, hospitality and the outdoors
Who We're Looking For
We're far more interested in mindset than a specific career path.
Your background might be in brand, community, content, partnerships, hospitality, events, marketing or something else entirely.
You may have three years of experience. You may have ten. You may currently work for a startup, an agency, a hospitality brand or be building something of your own.
We don't expect every successful candidate to bring experience across all of these areas. What matters most is that you're proactive, curious, comfortable with ambiguity and excited by the idea of helping build something from an early stage.
You'll probably enjoy this role if you:
- Have an interest in travel, hospitality, design, outdoor living or lifestyle brands
- Have strong written communication skills
- Have a good eye for brands, design and storytelling
- Enjoy creating content and bringing ideas to life
- Like meeting people and building relationships
- Are comfortable working independently
- Take ownership rather than waiting for instructions

- Get excited about building things from scratch
Compensation, Flexibility & Commitment
We're deliberately designing this role to work alongside other commitments.
It may suit someone who is freelancing, consulting, building their own business, working part-time elsewhere, or simply looking for a role that offers more flexibility and ownership than a traditional full-time position.
We're far more interested in outcomes than hours. We don't mind when the work gets done, where it gets done, or exactly how it's done. What matters is that you're proactive, take ownership and help move Sosta forward.
The role will begin on a part-time basis, equivalent to around 1–2 days per week, although we're open to discussing different arrangements with the right person.
Compensation will include a modest day rate alongside meaningful equity participation, reflecting the founding-stage nature of the role.
While we're starting small, we're building for the long term. As Sosta grows, we expect the role to grow with it, creating opportunities to take on greater responsibility, help shape the direction of the business and potentially become a larger part of the company over time.
We're looking for someone who wants to play a meaningful role in building Sosta and share in the journey along the way.
