Job Description:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Breakfast Chef to join The Sir Thomas Hotel, a vibrant hotel in Liverpool City Centre on a casual basis – 2-3 shifts per week only.
Breakfast Chef responsibilities include studying recipes, setting up menus and preparing high-quality dishes. You should be able to work quickly and efficiently ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner, often lone working as a breakfast chef. Ultimately, you will prepare and deliver a complete breakfast menu that delights our guests in an important part of our business, breakfast for our hotel guests!
Main Duties:
- Set up the kitchen for the day ahead for the team
- Ownership of the breakfast department, ordering and replenishing
- Responsible for providing breakfast service made to order
- Enquire, understand and manage the implications of food allergies for guests
- Exceeding guest service experience
- Completion of all tasks necessary during their shift
- Responsible for the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
- Delegate tasks to kitchen staff
- Ensure appealing plate presentation
- Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, dairy)
- Monitor food stock and place orders
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
