We’re on the lookout for a talented and enthusiastic Brunch Chef to join our team at Roost Café.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about fresh, beautifully presented food and loves creating delicious brunch and lunch dishes in a vibrant café environment. While coffee experience is welcomed, this role is primarily kitchen-focused and perfect for someone who thrives on cooking, creativity, and working as part of a fun, energetic team.
About Us
Roost Café is a fun and friendly café set on a beautiful family farm, surrounded by countryside and animals. We’re all about fresh food, great coffee, and creating a warm and welcoming experience for both our customers and team.
The Role
You’ll be:
- Preparing and plating high-quality brunch and lunch dishes including breakfasts, avocado toast, toasties, salads, and seasonal specials
- Bringing creativity, passion, and attention to detail to every plate
- Helping develop fresh ideas and menu specials
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food presentation
- Supporting the wider café team when needed, including occasional coffee making or front-of-house support
- Getting involved in exciting events hosted at the café and across the farm
- Getting involved in the kitchen at our other Roost cafe which has recently bee launched at UpCountry Scaynes Hill
What We’re Looking For
- Someone confident in a kitchen environment with a genuine passion for food
- Experience preparing fresh brunch or café-style dishes
- A creative foodie with a strong eye for presentation
- Calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and strong team spirit
- Coffee/barista experience is a bonus, but not essential
