Duties
- Safely dismantle vehicles using appropriate hand tools and power tools
- Remove and categorise vehicle parts such as engines, transmissions, body panels, and interior components
- Ensure all dismantling activities adhere to health and safety regulations
- Organise and store removed parts systematically for easy identification and retrieval
- Assist with the disposal or recycling of non-reusable vehicle materials
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Conduct routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning
Experience
- Previous experience in vehicle dismantling, automotive repair, or related mechanical roles is desirable but not essential
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for understanding vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers is required
- Experience with power tools used in dismantling processes is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often handling bulky vehicle parts or assemblies
- Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks throughout the shift
