Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in maintaining their independence and dignity
- Implement and follow personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Assist with medication administration as required, following proper procedures
- Support with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational standards
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities, ensuring safe transportation
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Good understanding of care plans and how to implement them effectively
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving client transportation
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
