Duties
- Assist with construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting schematics to ensure precise project execution
- Perform framing carpentry, including metal stud framing and wood framing, to create structural frameworks
- Carry out trim carpentry, fixture installation, door hanging, cabinetry, and siding work with attention to detail
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently on-site
- Execute concrete forming, masonry, plastering, stucco application, and roofing tasks to meet project specifications
- Conduct restoration activities such as water damage remediation, mold remediation, and general building repairs
- Install plumbing, electrical components, flooring, tile laying, and other finishing touches to complete projects
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to guide construction activities and ensure compliance with design plans
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety standards at all times
- Support construction painting, caulking, rebar installation, metal stud framing, and fixture setup as needed
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
- Experience in various carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, framing (metal/stud), cabinetry installation, and roofing
- Familiarity with concrete forming, masonry work, plastering/stucco application, and siding installation
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks
- Knowledge of water damage restoration procedures and mold remediation practices
- Skilled in plumbing and electrical work relevant to remodeling or renovation projects
- Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols; heavy lifting capability required
- Handyman experience or general restoration industry background is a plus
