Position
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Worker based at North West Area Centre. This post is offered on a permanent basis.
Hours
36 hours per week 0900-1700.
Job share will be considered for this post.
From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings.
UK Driving Licence
A UK driving licence is essential for this role.
What You Will Do
To provide comprehensive support to the clinical and administrative teams, assisting with preparing clinical area, preparing dental materials under the direct/indirect supervision of a Registered Dental Nurse.
To provide reception duties and administrative support to the clinicians.
To help ensure the effective delivery of care in a supporting role to the Registered Dental Nurse and Clinician, maintaining an acceptable standard of Service.
To maintain Control of Infection procedures in the dental surgery and other locations including surgery fixtures, equipment, laboratory work and the decontamination and sterilisation of dental instruments.

Essential
Knowledge, training and/or experience required for this post:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written
- Experience of working in a caring environment/role working with the public
- Ability to work as part of a large team
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment fulfilling the requirement of the job description
Desirable
- Knowledge of dental paperwork, Microsoft packages
- Experience in cash handling
