CNC Machinist (Milling/Turning) – Near Glasgow
- Full-time permanent role in a subcontract precision engineering workshop near Glasgow.
- Pay ranges from £17.50–£26.50/hour depending on experience.
- Flexible shifts available: days, nights, or rotating, with higher pay for night shifts.
Main Duties
- Set up, operate, and edit/program CNC milling or turning machines.
- Work with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Hurco controls.
- Read engineering drawings and produce precision components to tight tolerances.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools like micrometers and calipers.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, perform basic maintenance, and follow health & safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous CNC machining experience in milling and/or turning.
- Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring equipment.
- Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility with shift patterns.
