Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Commercial Property Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance and operations of commercial properties in Avon, Colorado. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and safety of our retail, office, and mixed-use properties while providing exceptional service to tenants and visitors.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and experienced in general building maintenance, repairs, and property operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of commercial properties and building systems.
- Complete general maintenance and repair work, including drywall repair, painting, basic plumbing, minor electrical work, carpentry, and general handyman tasks.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors and contractors as needed.
- Maintain common areas, parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping elements, and overall property appearance.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance activities, including snow and weather-related property needs.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Document completed work and communicate maintenance updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance, facilities, construction, or related experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose maintenance issues and implement practical solutions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial property maintenance experience.
- Experience working directly with tenants and providing customer service.
- Ability to read and interpret basic building plans, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
- Ability to identify maintenance issues proactively and recommend solutions.
- Experience using work order systems and managing multiple priorities independently.
