Construction Site Safety Coordinator
Self-Perform Concrete Construction
Auburn, AL Area (Local Hire – Full Time)
We are a growing concrete construction company based in Nashville, TN, with a strong pipeline of active and upcoming self-perform concrete projects in the Auburn, Alabama area. We are seeking a motivated Construction Site Safety Coordinator to join our team as a full-time local hire.
This is a field-based, hands-on role responsible for supporting multiple concrete construction projects in the Auburn region. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment on our job sites while working closely with project teams, General Contractors (GCs), and owners.
Position Details
- Type: Full-time, Hourly (OT Eligible), W-2 Employee
- Location: Auburn, AL and surrounding areas (Local candidates only)
- Schedule: Minimum 8 hours/day, Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturday work as needed
- Reports To: Corporate Safety Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and lead toolbox safety talks
- Perform regular site safety inspections and audits
- Document and report unsafe behaviors or conditions
- Complete incident and near-miss reports in a timely manner
- Utilize Smart Barrel for safety reporting and documentation
- Coordinate with General Contractors (GCs), owners, and project supervisors
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Issue corrections and stop-work authority when necessary to protect people and property
- Support project teams with safety-related documentation and recordkeeping
- Maintain first aid and CPR readiness on site
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2 years of construction safety experience (entry-level candidates with strong potential will be considered)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (required)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (required)
- Ability to travel between multiple local project sites as needed
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions typical of concrete construction sites
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus but not required
