Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable Cooper Flexo Printing Press Operator to join our small team. This role involves primarily operating flexo printing presses, but also some handling materials, and maintaining warehouse operations. The successful candidate will need to possess a good practical ability. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who wants to fit into a small team of four and learn to operate a 1970’s manually fed mechanical printing machine. Patience and perseverance is a must as the operator has to make the machine work. It has no technology to assist. Full training and guidance is always available.
Duties
- Operate and oversee flexo printing presses with precision and attention to detail
- Set up, adjust, mix ink and maintain the printing the equipment
- Perform troubleshoot issues related to the press operation
- Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and organising stock within the warehouse
- Assist in managing inventory levels and ensure proper storage of raw materials and finished products
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace adhering to safety standards
- Support warehouse operations by assisting with materials handling and logistics
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations would be an advantage
- Previous warehouse experience including inventory management and shipping/receiving tasks would be an advantage
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to press operation and equipment maintenance maybe an advantage
This role requires a proactive individual with strong practical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a small team. Candidates should demonstrate versatility across, mechanical tasks, and warehouse functions to enjoy this multifaceted position.
Pay: £13.05 per hour
