Job description
We are North Jersey Truck Center- a fast paced OEM heavy duty truck dealer, and we are looking for a responsible warehouse associate to assist with the daily inspection of cores as well as other daily warehouse duties. Cores are certain types of auto parts that can be recycled or remanufactured for future sale. This position is Tuesday – Saturday 8-4pm
Responsibilities
- Daily inspection of cores both indoor and outdoors
- Ensure all cores are checked for damage and inconsistencies as per vendor’s core criteria
- All cores must be handled with appropriate care regardless of its dirty condition. Any damage to the core represents a value deduction or no core credit at all
- Complete daily core logs and report of damages and discrepancies
- Sort cores to their vendors, pack in designated crates and boxes.
- Ensure boxes are sealed and labeled properly
- Operate a forklift to deliver and arrange items on pallets/outdoor shelves
- Assist in unloading of trucks
- Receiving and documenting cores for delivery or return
- Clean warehouse area by dusting and sweeping, fold tarps used to cover skids in yard
Skills
- Experience working in warehouse
- Strong communication skills
- Friendly and able to work well in a team environment
- Strong organization skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Knowledge of operating a forklift
- Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and carry loads up to 80 pounds
- Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch
- Ability to work independently and safely
- Highly dependable
