Join our dynamic organic dairy farming team as a Organic Dairy Farm Worker in East Montpelier, VT. We are looking for someone to drive equipment, feed cows, etc. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in a lively environment, caring for livestock, maintaining farm equipment, and supporting daily farm operations. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive in hands-on roles and works well with others.
Responsibilities
- Duties including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring the health of dairy cattle and other farm animals.
- Operate and maintain farm machinery such as tractors,a nd other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in helping perform equipment repairs, and routine maintenance using hand tools, power tools, and farm-specific machinery. A jack of all trades.
- Must be a good driver with valid drivers license.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge in operating machinery such as skid steers, tractors, or other farm equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate equipment including power tools and hand tools.
- Basic math skills for feed calculations, or record keeping related to farm operations.
