Duties
- Assisting dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
- Providing excellent patient care by explaining procedures and addressing patient concerns
- Ensuring the cleanliness and sterilisation of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Managing patient records accurately using IT systems and maintaining organised appointment schedules
- Supporting patients before, during, and after treatment to ensure comfort and reassurance
- Maintaining the clinical area in a tidy, organised manner to promote infection control standards
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as updating patient information and managing stock levels of dental supplies
- Communicating effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Nurse Preferred or a Trainee Dental Nurse will be considered.
- Knowledge of patient care procedures within a dental setting is advantageous
- Proficiency in IT systems relevant to dental practice management is preferred
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with patients and team members
- Organisational skills are important for managing multiple tasks efficiently and maintaining accurate records
- A caring attitude combined with professionalism is vital to providing outstanding patient support
