Responsibilities
- Providing chairside support to dentists and other dental professionals.
- Preparing and maintaining the surgery and equipment.
- Infection prevention, decontamination, and sterilisation of instruments.
- Keeping accurate patient records.
- Supporting patients before, during, and after treatment.
- Assisting with radiographs (if appropriately trained).
- Maintaining clinical standards and patient safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with patients and team members
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to empathise with patients of all ages
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Relevant qualifications in nursing or dental assisting are advantageous but not essential; training can be provided for the right candidate
