Poms is looking for a hard working hands-on individual to join the team in our busy, award winning flagship Lichfield site! At Poms we pride ourselves on the high quality, locally sourced ingredients we use. This paired with high standards of service is at the heart of all that we do. Poms is an independently owned business, currently made up of three restaurants, with plans to continue to slowly expand over the coming years.
We are seeking a dynamic Deputy General Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, high- volume restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth. You will support the General Manager in all aspects of running the business.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in leading, motivating and training a high performing and engaged team
- Ensuring legal compliance throughout the business.
- Ensuring that the Poms standard of experience is delivered to each and every guest.
- Manage sales activities and meet sales targets, control stock, achieve GPs
- Deliver a successful business performance – managing key KPI’s
- Provide leadership and support to achieve operational excellence
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Support in organising events and managing bookings
We are looking for someone who:
- Is currently (or has been) in a deputy manager role within a similar restaurant environment for a minimum of 2 years.
- Is passionate about people- cares about both our guests and the team, maintaining the positive environment we are proud to offer.
- Shows passion for our growing brand, this passion shows when leading and training the team.
PLEASE NOTE:
We are looking for someone with flexible availability, must be able to work weekends. Must also be available to work Bank Holidays, and other key dates throughout the year. (We are closed on Christmas Day!) We do not open on evenings, so no late nights. In addition to your pay, you will also receive a share of the service charge received each month. You may, from time to time, be asked to help at our other restaurant locations.
This position will be based on a 40 or 45 hour per week contract. Salary shown is based on 45 hours, and will be adjusted in line accordingly as necessary. Agreed salary will also be dependent on level of experience.
