Dial House Nursing Home – Deputy Home Manager
37.5 hours contract
Dial House is one of Bedford’s longest established Nursing and Residential Homes and has an excellent reputation for quality of care it provides. We are looking for compassionate, reliable people to join us in caring for elderly and vulnerable adults within our nursing home based in an old part of Bedford. The role is varied, challenging and demanding but equally rewarding.
We are looking to recruit an Deputy Home Manager (fully registered nurse with an active PIN) to join our Home in supporting the Registered Home Manager to deliver high-quality person-centred care to our residents, meeting their nursing and care needs. Prompting and championing independence and personal choice, respecting the resident’s rights and believes.
Assisting with Deprivation of Liberty Authorisations.
Oversee and develop person-centred care plans.
Set and maintain clinical practice, in accordance with NMC Code of Conduct.
Ensuring the duty rota has a balance of skill mix and knowledge to meet the changing needs of the home. Assisting with all aspects of staff management, induction, mentoring, development, training, and support.
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of CQC.
Safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
Supporting the Registered Manager with dealing with complaints.
To be able to effectively prioritise, problem solve and delegation skills.
Support with the on-call rota.
Cover and work nursing shifts to meet the needs of Home.
Salary between – £48,000 – £50,000 depending on experience.
