Job Description:
Heavy Civil Marine Construction Carpenter
Job Requirements:
- Two (2) or more years of carpentry experience required; with a minimum of 1 year of marine or bridge construction experience. Three (3)+ years’ experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with standard carpentry tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of concrete form systems and structural framing methods.
- Ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work at heights and over water.
- Reliable transportation to project sites.
- Willingness to travel and work overtime as required by project demands.
- Willingness to learn BCI’s methodology for efficiency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in heavy civil, bridge, or marine construction.
- Knowledge of pile-supported structures.
- Experience working from barges and floating equipment.
- Crane Rigging and signaling experience.
Familiarity with:
- Concrete placement operations
- Timber and composite dock construction
- Marine rehabilitation projects
