We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Early Morning Cleaners at a brand new separate medical unit at Withington hospital .
The site will be cleaned to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene before opening hours. The ideal candidates will have previous experience in janitorial or commercial cleaning, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence. The position offers an excellent opportunity for those seeking early morning work in a supportive environment.
Hours of work 6am – 8am Monday to Saturday and Sunday 6.30am-8am
You will work a weekend on rotation.
Rate of pay 12.71 per hour.
Duties
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all designated areas to ensure a spotless environment.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchen areas, and communal spaces according to health and safety standards.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and cleaning products as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and independently.
- Good organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively within the allocated time frame.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and mops safely.
- Reliable punctuality and a professional attitude are essential for early morning shifts.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting or bending. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who take pride in maintaining clean and welcoming environments for clients and staff alike. Prior experience in janitorial services will be advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
