Due to increase in demand, we are looking for Full Time Early Years Educators at our Chester-le Street Nursery

Part time and Term time could also be considered.

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while making a positive impact on children’s early learning experiences. Applicants should have a strong background in early childhood education and childcare, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.

Duties

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
  • Supervise and support children during playtime, mealtimes, and rest periods
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Foster positive relationships with children to encourage confidence and independence
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualised learning plans for children with special needs or additional support requirements
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s progress, behaviour, and development milestones
  • Manage daily administrative tasks related to child records and activity documentation
  • Lead by example in demonstrating excellent childcare practices and organisational skills

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting
  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., CACHE Level 3 or equivalent)
  • Strong management and leadership abilities to guide junior staff and organise daily routines effectively
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of current childcare legislation and best practices in early childhood education
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
  • Passionate about working with young children and committed to their development and wellbeing

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00 per hour
