Ernie’s Excavation is a growing underground utility company based in Manchester, NH, specializing in water lines, sewer lines, and site excavation. We’re a small, tight-knit crew under new management since 2024. Opportunity to grow with us as we expand.
What you’ll do
- Operate a compact excavator for trenching, grading, utility installation, and site work
- Run a skid steer (Bobcat) for backfill, cleanup, and material movement
- Work alongside the crew on underground utility projects — water lines, sewer lines, and related excavation
- Dig to grade accurately and safely, with an eye for underground utilities and site conditions
- Perform daily equipment inspections and flag maintenance needs
- Communicate with the foreman and adjust to changing site conditions
What we’re looking for
- Proven hands-on experience operating a compact excavator — you can dig to grade and work in tight spaces
- Solid skid steer / Bobcat experience
- Underground utility or excavation background strongly preferred
- Ability to read a site, work safely near existing utilities, and follow grade stakes
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded
- OSHA 10 or relevant safety training a plus, but not required
