Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting jewellery pieces that meet their preferences and needs
- Provide detailed product information, including features, materials, and care instructions
- Upsell complementary items and promote special collections to maximise sales opportunities
- Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure displays are attractive and organised
- Handle customer enquiries professionally via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and manage cash or card payments efficiently
- Keep abreast of current jewellery trends and new arrivals to inform customer recommendations
- Organise stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure product availability
- Build strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and foster loyalty
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Jewellery Sales Assistant or in a similar retail sales role within luxury or high-end jewellery environments
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers
- Excellent organisational skills and time management abilities to handle multiple clients effectively
- Basic maths skills for processing transactions and managing stock counts accurately
- Demonstrated merchandising skills to create appealing displays that attract customers
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanour at all times
- Exceptional organisational skills coupled with attention to detail in all aspects of the role
- Good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for building rapport with clients and colleagues alike
