Experienced Optical Assistant Jobs in Hyde at Artingstall Opticians
A part-time position has become available for an experienced optical assistant to join a small, friendly team at a long standing independent opticians in Hyde.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years relevant dispensing experience working in an Opticians practice.
The Role:
The position includes all aspects of spectacle dispensing such as assisting patients in selecting frames, dispensing lenses and taking appropriate measurements. Candidates should ideally be confident in dispensing a range of different lenses e.g single vision, varifocal, occupational lenses ect. Spectacle fitting, repairs and adjustments will also be required, as well as contact lens teaches. Some reception duties are also expected and hence people skills are essential with a good front of house manner. The successful candidate must be confident in dealing with the public and strive to offer the best possible service available.

The role is a part time position 2-3 days a week. Currently we are looking for someone who is available Tuesday’s and Thursday’s 9am – 5pm, with the possibility of an additional third day in the future and to cover holidays. 28 days annual holiday (pro rata) which includes guaranteed time off at Christmas and bank holidays.
Salary is pro rata and dependent on experience.
