£25,353 to £26,379 per annum based on a 36.25-hour contract / pro rata if applicable. Posts are initially offered at the minimum salary point £13.45 per hour, with progression to the higher salary point, £13.99 per hour through annual incremental pay rise.

About the role:

Based at either University Park or Jubilee Campus this full time, permanent role will carry out a wide range of external cleaning tasks including picking up/collecting litter, emptying bins and sweeping paths and roads using a range of ride on or pedestrian controlled machinery.

Due to the frequency with which the post holder will drive vehicles involved in grounds maintenance operations and transport materials between University sites candidates must hold a full current driving license, unless disability precludes this.

Hours of work are 36.25 per week to be worked mainly Monday to Friday with flexibility to work occasional weekends as required.

About you and the team:

Candidates should have experience of working within a similar role and have the ability to operate a wide variety of vehicles and powered machinery.

You will also be required to safely dispose of waste products in accordance with University guidelines and will complete relevant documentation including job tickets and log sheets when completing tasks.

The role holder will also be expected to work in adverse weather conditions (extremes of hot or cold) as required.

The successful candidate for this post will be expected to attend the Estates and Facilities training courses which will run each month on a set week/s, Monday to Friday mornings/afternoons. Hours of work
