Fabricator / Welder
Up to £17.38 per hour (dependent on experience)
40 hours per week | Early Finish Every Friday | Permanent Position
ADE Power Ltd is looking for experienced Fabricator / Welders to join our growing manufacturing team, building high-quality acoustic enclosures for customers across a range of industries.
Offering pay of up to £17.38 per hour, excellent benefits, a structured working week, and a 1pm finish every Friday, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator looking for long-term stability and career development.
As a Fabricator / Welder, you will be responsible for interpreting engineering drawings, fabricating and welding metal components, and ensuring all products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and precision.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering 2D and 3D drawings.
- Measure and mark out cutting and bending lines.
- Ensure all required parts for assembly are present before commencing work.
- Check design specifications and dimensions prior to fabrication.
- Fabricate and construct metal components and structures.
- Grind, finish, and prepare completed products to a high standard.
- Perform quality inspections on completed products.
- Complete quality check sheets accurately.
- Work in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Fabricator / Welder or Metal Fabricator.
- Experience working with mild steel, Zintec and galvanised sheet ranging from 0.9mm to 30mm.
- Experience working with mild steel sections from 2mm to 10mm.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering 2D and 3D drawings.
- Proficiency with fabrication equipment and metalworking tools.
- Strong understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift and handle large metal components.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Overhead crane experience is advantageous.
- Welding qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
Working Hours & Pay
- Up to £17.38 per hour, dependent on experience.
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
- 40 hours per week
- Enjoy an early finish every Friday and start your weekend sooner.
- The business is closed for Bank Holidays and we also enjoy a Christmas shutdown until after the New Year.
