We have a fantastic opportunity to recruit a Farm Hand to work on our therapeutic farm for our young people at Blue Mountain Homes.
We are looking for a part time farm hand who can job share at our small holding. We are recruiting for one 25 hours a week position. They should not mind getting their hands dirty doing a variety of jobs, from looking after the animals to growing some vegetables.
Our ideal person needs to be Inspiring, patient and empathetic, as well as enjoying sharing their outdoor knowledge with our young people and encouraging them to get stuck in. They should be physically fit and must not be afraid to take on a challenge and think outside the box.
The successful candidates will have a ‘can do ‘attitude, enthusiastic and be flexible with working hours, as alternate weekends will be necessary.
Animal husbandry experience and/or knowledge is essential for species such as Poultry, Goats, Petting Animals, ponies.
We are also looking for a keen gardener as we also have poly tunnels and small areas of land, which we would like to encourage our young people to grow their own produce and flowers in.
£13.50 per hour
