Fencing Foreman Jobs in Mount Vernon, WA at C&W Fencing
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AND PAY IS DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise and lead fencing crews in the installation of a variety of fencing systems including wood, chain-link, vinyl, ornamental iron, and custom fence projects.
- Oversee all phases of fence construction from layout and planning to final installation and quality inspection.
- Read plans, verify measurements, coordinate material usage, and ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Direct crew members in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing fencing materials and gates.
- Oversee post hole layout, excavation, concrete placement, post setting, gate installation, and final project completion.
- Coordinate loading, unloading, transportation, and organization of fencing materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure all company tools, vehicles, and equipment are properly maintained, safely operated, and secured.
- Train and mentor crew members in professional fence installation techniques, safety practices, and productivity standards.
- Monitor job progress and maintain production schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within company standards.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, site cleanliness, and customer satisfaction on every project.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding project progress, job site expectations, and completion details.
- Enforce all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and safe operation of hand tools, power tools, augers, and construction equipment.
- Inspect job sites for safety hazards and ensure crews maintain safe working conditions in all weather environments.
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and make field decisions to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Coordinate with upper management regarding scheduling, materials, equipment needs, and labor requirements.
- Assist with demolition and removal of existing fencing systems when required.
- Complete required job documentation, timekeeping, and project reporting accurately and on time.
- Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, work ethic, and positive crew leadership.
- Perform additional supervisory and field responsibilities as assigned by management
Physical Requirements
This position involves:
- Frequent lifting of 50lbs or over, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and digging.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Exposure to dust, noise, weather, and construction-site hazards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 – $35.00 per hour
