Finance Assistant (6 months fixed term)

To provide support and assistance with all of the Financial Accounting functions, working alongside the Assistant Financial Accountants.

The role is based in our modern Leicester city centre office working hybrid, on a 6 month fixed term contract.

What you will be doing

Accounts Payable

• Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox, input and process purchase ledger invoices and deal with supplier queries.
• Request new supplier set up.
• To reconcile supplier accounts where required.

Month End

• To maintain data records in order to allow month end reporting to be processed in a timely and accurate manner
• To produce expense related reports in support of the Assistant Financial Accountants.

Other

• To provide general finance support to the Finance Operations team as required
• To track and report on bank transactions (AP)

To process business expense claims in support of Assistant Financial Accountants.

You will have

Essential:

• GCSEs (including grade C or above in Mathematics and English)/ A Levels or similar
• Competent using Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook in particular)

Desirable:

• Some experience of working in a finance department in a commercial organisation would be helpful but not essential (training will be provided)
• Basic understanding of double entry accounting and journals (training will be provided)
• Experience of operating in a fast-paced, high volume, transactional environment (either through work or through personal interest activities)
