Forklift Operator/Material Handler Jobs in Caldwell, OH at Novolex
Duties:
– Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to transport materials within the warehouse or distribution center
– Load and unload trucks, containers, and pallets using forklifts or other material handling equipment
– Safely stack and organize products and materials in designated areas
– Perform routine maintenance on forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning
– Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries
– Assist in inventory management by accurately recording incoming and outgoing shipments
– Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to ensure efficient operations
Experience:
– Proven experience as a forklift operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or distribution center setting
– Proficient in operating various types of forklifts, such as cherry pickers and clamp trucks
– Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on equipment
– Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage orders
– Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
– Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
