Join our team as a General Laborer – Pipe Fitter and become a vital part of construction and manufacturing projects focused on piping systems. In this role, you will assist skilled pipe fitters and welders in installing, maintaining, and repairing piping infrastructure across various sites. Responsibilities
- Assist with the assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems according to schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Use hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment to cut, shape, and fit pipes accurately
- Support welding activities including SMAW, MIG, FCAW, TIG welding, and welding as needed under supervision
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and ASME codes & standards to ensure proper pipe layout and installation
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements, pipe dimensions, and material estimations
- Support rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy pipes or equipment safely on construction sites or manufacturing facilities
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction sites or manufacturing environments involving plumbing or pipe fitting is preferred
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment safely and effectively
- Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems, or maintenance work is a plus
- Familiarity with welding techniques including SMAW, MIG, FCAW, TIG welding; experience with welding is a bonus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required for precise pipe fitting
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
- Construction or manufacturing experience involving rigging or assembly tasks is advantageous
