We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in accordance with organisational policies
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare team members
- Support clients in activities of daily living to promote independence
- Assist with light domestic duties to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when necessary, ensuring safe transportation
- Contribute to the development and review of individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent communication skills, empathetic nature, and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends as required
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals in their daily lives
