Job Description
We are recruiting caring and dependable Home Care Workers / Specialist Care Support Staff to provide high-quality domiciliary care to clients in their own homes in and around Frome. This role supports individuals to live independently, safely, and with dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, mobility support)
- Assistance with daily living (meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping)
- Medication reminders and basic health monitoring (where trained)
- Specialist care support (e.g. dementia, disability, complex care needs)
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Following individual care plans and keeping accurate records
- Adhering to safeguarding, health & safety, and care standards
Requirements
- Experience in home care or support work (preferred, not essential)
- Kind, patient, and reliable approach to care
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Willingness to travel locally around Frome
Desirable (Not Essential)
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
- Dementia or specialist care experience
- Medication administration training
