Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator specializing in Grapple and Magnet operations to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy machinery such as Material Handlers, excavators, cranes, to efficiently load, unload, trailers and move and properly seperate different metals/materials Must be qualified and have experience loading dump trailers with the highest safety standards. Duties
- Operate heavy equipment including excavators with sheer attachment grapple attachments and magnetic cranes to handle scrap metal, debris, or other materials efficiently.
- Checking fluids and filling DEF tank daily
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from customers
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures during equipment operation and material handling activities.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and team members to plan material movement and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Be sure to ask if unsure of task or material.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as Material handler with grapple or magnet attachment, cranes (including magnet/crane operations), forklifts, and Sheer attachment.
- Strong operational knowledge of heavy equipment
- Prior experience working in Junkyards or scrap metal facilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures including shipping & receiving processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work safely in physically demanding environments while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
