Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting visitors, managing reservations, and ensuring guests receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. This role offers an opportunity to be the first point of contact in a vibrant hospitality environment, contributing to memorable guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations efficiently, including booking and confirming tables
- Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette and handle enquiries courteously
- Maintain a tidy and organised reception area to reflect the high standards of the establishment
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth flow of guest seating and service
- Provide guests with information about menu options, specials, and venue facilities as needed
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, escalating issues when necessary
- Assist in maintaining health and safety standards within the reception area
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly and clear interaction
- Experience in guest services, serving, or hotel reception is advantageous
- Familiarity with reservation systems and phone etiquette is desirable
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure are essential for success in this role
Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
