Location: Maghull, Merseyside
Hours: 28 hours per week (Permanent)
Salary: £44,709 pro rata
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Responsible for: HR Co-ordinator

Parkhaven Trust is seeking an experienced and values-driven HR Business Lead to play a key role in shaping our workforce, culture and future growth.

Working closely with the CEO and Executive Team, you will lead the delivery of high-quality HR services, support managers across the organisation and help ensure Parkhaven remains an employer of choice.

About the Role

This is a strategic and operational HR leadership role with responsibility for helping Parkhaven deliver its people priorities and Corporate Strategy 2026–2031.

You will work in partnership with senior leaders and managers to:

Lead workforce planning and organisational development.

Provide expert HR advice and guidance.

Support recruitment, retention and colleague engagement.

Manage complex employee relations matters.

Develop HR policies, systems and processes.

Strengthen leadership capability and management practice.

Promote colleague wellbeing and a positive workplace culture.

Produce workforce reports and people-related insights for senior leaders and Trustees.

As Parkhaven continues to develop and grow, you will help ensure our workforce, systems and culture are ready to meet future opportunities and challenges.

About You

We are looking for a confident HR professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent interpersonal skills.

You will have experience operating in a senior HR role and be comfortable advising managers and senior leaders on a wide range of people matters.

You will be able to balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach and demonstrate sound judgement, credibility and a practical, solution-focused mindset.

Essential Requirements

CIPD Level 7 qualification, or CIPD Level 5 with significant relevant experience.

Experience in a senior HR Business Partner, HR Lead or similar role.

Strong and up-to-date employment law knowledge.

Experience managing employee relations casework.

Experience supporting managers with performance, absence, conduct and organisational change.

Experience developing policies and producing workforce reports.

Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.

Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Ability to analyse workforce data and identify practical solutions.

Experience within care, housing, social care, supported living or the not-for-profit sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
