GeorgiaSource IBC is seeking a dependable, hands-on Team Lead to oversee daily operations within our IBC tote reconditioning facility. This position is responsible for leading production employees, maintaining safety and quality standards, coordinating workflow, and ensuring operational goals are met. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who leads by example, is comfortable working alongside the team, and has experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, logistics, or container reconditioning environments.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Team Leadership

  • Lead and support daily tote washing, reconditioning, recertification, assembly, and inspection activities.
  • Assign tasks and monitor employee performance to ensure production goals, quality standards, and deadlines are achieved.
  • Train new employees on safety procedures, equipment operation, quality expectations, and company processes.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for production-related issues during assigned shifts.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and facility operating standards.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and address unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Assist with maintaining production, safety, and compliance documentation.

Operational Excellence

  • Coordinate daily workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Inventory management
  • Monitor equipment performance and communicate maintenance needs promptly.
  • Support inventory management of totes, cages, valves, lids, and production supplies.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining 5S workplace organization standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased productivity.

Hands-On Production Support

  • Operate forklifts, pressure washing systems, and other production equipment safely.
  • Assist with tote unloading, washing, assembly, repair, inspection, and loading activities as needed.
  • Perform physical labor and work alongside production employees to maintain workflow.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and production-ready throughout the shift.

Reporting & Communication

  • Complete daily production reports and communicate operational updates to management.
  • Track production output, quality issues, and employee attendance.
  • Coordinate with logistics, sales, maintenance, and administrative teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

  • Previous leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, warehouse, logistics, or IBC tote reconditioning environments.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Forklift experience required; certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Basic computer skills including email, spreadsheets, and production reporting systems.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in IBC tote reconditioning, plastic container manufacturing, recycling, chemical processing, or industrial washing operations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety practices.
  • Experience implementing 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with wastewater treatment systems and environmental compliance requirements.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
