Role Description The Joinery CAD Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tamworth. This role focuses on producing accurate CAD drawings and technical documentation for bespoke joinery projects, working closely with the design and workshop teams. Day-to-day tasks include developing detailed construction drawings, refining designs based on client and production feedback, and ensuring all drawings meet structural, functional, and aesthetic requirements. The Joinery CAD Designer will translate concepts into buildable designs, coordinate with carpenters, and maintain organized drawing files and revisions. The role also involves reviewing measurements, supporting material take-offs, and contributing to continuous improvement of design standards and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical drawing and general drawing skills for detailed joinery and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools relevant to joinery and architectural detailing.
  • Experience creating and interpreting construction drawings for bespoke carpentry and joinery projects.
  • Background in design engineering or related disciplines, with the ability to translate design concepts into practical solutions.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and strong spatial awareness.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with workshop teams, project managers, and clients.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Relevant qualifications in design, engineering, architecture, or carpentry, or equivalent practical experience.
