Location: Ebb Restaurant, Worthing Pier, Worthing
Position: Kitchen Assistant
Hours: Flexible, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
Reporting To: Head Chef / Kitchen Management Team
About the Role
Ebb Restaurant is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our busy kitchen team on Worthing Pier. This is a hands-on role that is essential to the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and support for our chefs.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean and efficient working environment while assisting with general kitchen duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout service.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in all kitchen and wash-up areas.
- Keeping floors, work surfaces, storage areas, and waste disposal areas clean and tidy.
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries correctly.
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Assisting with end-of-day cleaning and kitchen close-down procedures.
- Helping to maintain an organised and well-stocked kitchen environment.
