Kitchen Assistant

12 hour shifts – 4 days one week & 3 days the next.

CHD Living is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our chef and residents at our care home in West Byfleet. Established in 1984, we are a family-owned, award-winning group providing care services across Surrey and South London.
About the Role:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll be the chef’s right hand, helping to maintain a smooth, efficient, and hygienic kitchen. You’ll assist with food preparation, washing up, setting tables, and serving meals and beverages – ensuring our residents enjoy delicious meals in a clean and safe environment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assist the chef with food preparation as directed.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen, dining, and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety Act 1990 and Health & Safety regulations.
- Support serving meals and beverages to residents.
- Washing up and maintaining a tidy kitchen environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- A reliable, happy, and caring attitude.
- Interest in food and working in a kitchen environment.
- Experience is helpful but full training is provided.
- Good level of written and spoken English.
- Right to work in the UK.
