We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individuals to join our busy kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant at Bowood Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort in Calne.

Whether you have previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, Catering Assistant, Dishwasher, Kitchen Assistant or Food Preparation Assistant, or are looking to gain valuable experience in a hotel kitchen environment, we would love to hear from you.

The Role:

As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting our chefs and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently. Working as part of a friendly and professional team, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating commercial dishwashing equipment
• Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils and food preparation areas
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation tasks
• Assisting with deliveries and stock organisation
• Following food safety and health & safety procedures
• Helping to ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations

This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week on a shift rota, which include 08.00-16.30 and 16.00-23.00. Due to the rural location at the Bowood Estate, reliable transport is required and free on-site parking is provided. The Estate is easily commutable from Chippenham, Devizes, Trowbridge, Swindon and surrounding Wiltshire areas.

The successful candidate will have:

• Reliability and punctuality
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and busy periods
• Previous kitchen, hospitality, catering or cleaning experience is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
