XPAC is hiring Local CDL Drivers for 2nd shift- 4 day work week. No Overnight Travel involved! Driving in the Quad Cities area only.
Second shift hours are 3pm to 1:30am (Monday through Thursday) with OT required on Fridays and Saturdays as necessary.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is essential. Must pass pre-employment drug screen within XPAC’s set parameters. Must have valid CDL driver’s license. Must maintain an acceptable MVR. Must present valid medical card or pass pre-employment physical.
JOB DUTIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Parks semi-trailers on grounds.
- Moves trailers to and from receiving or shipping docks.
- Secures loads as necessary.
- Checks maintenance on vehicles used.
- Transports various loads to locations off company premises.
- Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Completion of daily vehicle inspection report.
- Follows all safety procedures and DOT regulations.
TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY Tools — Flatbed trailers, Lifts, On-board Computers, Trailer Hitches including fifth wheel, iPad
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE Experience — Able to verify previous 10 years of employment history. Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
