Coordinate Shipments (Inbound & Outbound)
Job Summary
The Logistics Administrator is responsible for overseeing the efficient movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, accurate order tracking, and effective inventory management. This role also serves as the primary on-site contact for drivers, ensuring all documentation is completed and processes are followed. The position requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate Shipments (Inbound & Outbound)
- Manage and coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments.
- Work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate and compliant.
Schedule & Monitor Deliveries
- Plan and schedule deliveries in line with operational requirements.
- Monitor delivery timelines and proactively address delays or disruptions.
- Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
Order Tracking & Issue Resolution
- Track orders throughout the distribution process using logistics systems.
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, or delivery issues.
- Maintain clear records of issues and corrective actions taken.
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are aligned with demand.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to optimise storage and stock availability.
Driver Coordination & Site Management
- Act as the point of contact for all drivers arriving on site.
- Check drivers in and out, ensuring adherence to site procedures.
- Verify and process all relevant delivery and collection documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
· Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar role desirable
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proven problem-solving capability and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics/transport management systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Pay: £24,420.00-£51,683.50 per year
