This position is in our cast iron prep department and will be responsible for the set up, operation, and tending of various tools related to the preparation of cast iron to be used in building cast iron stoves.
Candidates will perform repetitive machine operations to produce parts and accessories for gas and wood stoves/inserts.
Requirements:
- Operate grinder, belt sander, tapping arm, drilling machines, and related tools
- Kit and crate parts
- Operate ergonomic equipment
- Work at different work stations as needed
- Adhere to all safety guidelines
- Maintain staging areas to keep traffic lanes open and minimize wasted space.
Qualifications:
- Reliable – on time and shows up every day
- Adaptable – willing to move from workstation to workstation throughout day
- Detail oriented – precise grinding and drilling of cast to avoid costly waste
- Accountable – working safely, adherence to quality, and policies
