Northern Metal Products is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician – Manufacturing.
Northern Metal Products is a manufacturer of custom solutions for both the Retail and OEM industries. Founded in 1959, NMP is a private, financially sound, and growing company with diverse capabilities fabricating wire, sheet metal, tubing, and wood.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, man lifts and floor scrubbing equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all shop equipment, along with basic upkeep of entire facility.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical malfunctions.
- Respond to maintenance work orders, and correct/repair requests.
- Process material requisitions to order necessary part/equipment/service.
- Maintain service parts inventory as needed to minimize downtown associated with machines and equipment.
- Log tasks; fill out paperwork and necessary forms accurately, neatly, and to completion.
Requirements:
- Computer literate and familiar with Excel, Word, and the Internet.
- General mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
Desired Qualifications:
- Read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints.
- Familiar with the maintenance of industrial equipment. Including electrical, electronic and mechanical knowledge.
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must have 1+ years related experience.
This position is on 2nd shift.
Work schedule options are Monday-Thursday; 3:30pm – 2:00am or Monday-Friday; 3:30pm – 12:00am.
