We’re adding a Measure Technician to support our expanding team of skilled glaziers. This role is critical to ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality installations across custom residential projects.
We are open to a remote-based position within the greater Austin area, with regular travel to job sites.
Position Overview
As a Measure Technician, you will be responsible for accurately assessing and measuring job sites for glass installations. Your work directly impacts material ordering, fabrication accuracy, and overall project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise field measurements for:
- Residential showers, mirrors, and windows
- Verify site conditions and ensure measurements align with project specifications
- Identify potential installation challenges and communicate solutions proactively
- Collaborate closely with superintendents, managers, estimators, and installation teams
- Maintain clear, organized documentation of measurements and site details
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams throughout the process
Qualifications
- Experience as a Glazier, Measure Technician, or in a similar field role
- Strong understanding of measuring techniques and job site evaluation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Glass installation
- Experience with digital/laser measuring tools
- Customer-facing experience in construction or field services
