Luton 3–5+ Years Experience – Hybrid Working (1–2 Days in Office)

We’re hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer to work on heavy industrial equipment used in critical power generation applications for Nuclear, Oil & Gas industries. This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail – producing accurate, manufacturing–ready drawings, not just 3D models as well as be highly involved in solving real world engineering problems.

What you’ll be doing

• Creating detailed 2D & 3D designs in SolidWorks
• Producing fully toleranced engineering drawings (GD&T)
• Supporting designs from concept through to manufacture
• Working closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical and buildable
• Applying DFM / DFA principles across complex assemblies
• Contributing to design reviews and engineering documentation

What we’re looking for

• 3–5 years in a mechanical design engineering role
• Strong SolidWorks (or similar CAD) experience
• Confident producing high–quality, manufacturing drawings
• Solid understanding of GD&T and tolerancing principles
• Background in heavy engineering / manufacturing / industrial environments
• Exposure to rotating equipment is a bonus

This role is not FEA–heavy – the focus is on practical design, drawings, and engineering detail
