The role offers a healthy work–life balance, though flexibility is key, as evenings and weekends are part of the rhythm. If you have WSET qualifications or hospitality experience, that’s a definite plus—but enthusiasm and personality matter just as much.
Day to day, you’ll be sharing your knowledge and helping customers find the perfect natural wine bottle, as well as serving from our changing “By the Glass” selection alongside charcuterie and artisan cheese menu. It’s a hands-on, varied role where no two days are quite the same—and where your passion can truly shine.
Who we are:
Yield N16 opened its doors in 2015, and our sister shop, Yield N1, opened in 2021. We are your neighbourhood bottle shop selling only natural, organic, biodynamic wines, and craft beers, along with a small ever-changing wine, cheese and charcuterie and small plates menu.
We offer a small deli, and our menu is focused on charcuterie & cheese, all to enjoy in or to take away, so if you like retail with some hospitality table service, this is the perfect place. We are recognised for our great team spirit and for providing fantastic and warm, personable service in an enjoyable setting. Our team is full of character and personality; they are passionate, friendly, and proud of the food and drink we sell.
Qualifications/ experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospitality/retail environment
- Wset level 2 minimum required, level 3 preferable or trade-relevant experience
- Experience in working in the drinks trade, retail, off-trade, restaurants, bars, etc
- Running the day-to-day shop and bar duties
- Placing daily and weekly orders
- Opening and closing duties
- Online orders, updating online products
- The ability to take on other tasks when required
- Experience in online sales platforms
- Hosting tasting Events
- Able to work evenings and weekends
