Fabricator
Night Shift: Monday–Thursday | 5:30 PM – 4:00 AM | $20.50/hr
Are you mechanically inclined and experienced reading blueprints? We are seeking dependable Fabricators to join a growing manufacturing team producing high-quality steel components. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, operating machinery, and working in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Duties
As a Fabricator, you will:
- Produce metal components according to work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, and weld patterns
- Set up and operate fabrication and machining equipment
- Load materials into feed mechanisms and verify machine settings
- Measure first-run parts and sample pieces to ensure accuracy
- Monitor drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, and threading operations
- Take measurements throughout production and make adjustments as needed
- Identify quality concerns and troubleshoot production issues
- Complete production records and required documentation
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment
- Coordinate repairs and report equipment issues when necessary
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures
Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch
- Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
- Ability to read and follow process sheets, work orders, and instruction manuals
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Comfortable working around manufacturing equipment and machinery
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced indoor manufacturing environment
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required
